WHOLE AND HALF STEERS

Whole and half steers will be available in May and October.  Steers weigh approximately 1300 pounds when butchered and will produce between 430 and 450 pounds of beef.  Local processor, Redwood Meats, certified by the US Department of Agriculture, butchers, cuts, and wraps the beef. The price per pound of meat when purchasing a whole steer is $8.99; for half steers it is $9.19.  JCLT does not currently offer quarter steers; if you’d like a quarter or eighth, find some friends and go in on a half or whole steer together.

 

Payments: 

Half Steer  $100 deposit,  $1,000 due pre-processing, Balance based on actual weight due at pickup.  

Whole Steer:  $100 deposit, $2,000 due pre-processing, Balance based on actual weight due at pickup.
